I think I have not blogged abt this Dim Sum at Sunshine Plaza yet..

Unless u're an otaku or anime fan (i'm the 2nd one.. not the otaku stage yet), u wun even noe where Sunshine Plaza is. (Serangoon? NOPE! Dats Sun Plaza)

Residing in a little corner in an ulu building which looks like some apartment block from the outside, near the Rocher Dao Huey and opposite Paradiz, 101 Building and NAFA, is Victor's Kitchen. Some Hong Kong styled Dim Sum eatery.

It aint big, the tables are ad hoc-ingly arranged, and even one sub-eating area located away from the kitchen itself.

But the food is nice, if u can finish it while its hot.


Glutinous Rice wrapped with Lotus Leaves. Nice but too filling!


I think is Lychee Porridge. Ordered this either cos I wasnt feeling well, or I had toothache, or I jus wasnt hungry.

Althou the pricing a bit steep, roughly $15 to $20 for 2 pax, the food makes up for it. Dat is if u can finish them before it turns cold.

A very very very very GOLDEN show.

A show with a lot of "bouncings". The designs for the female costumes couldnt be any worse.. I had this thot thru'out the show, "The cloth in front is so low.. did it ever slip off? Squeeze until so tight, wun it be easy to jus pop out to see the world?" Super gross costume. N after seeing so many bouncings, the Imperial Physician's wife, who was also the Emperor's ex-wife and 元祥's birth mother, stands out with her flat, no asset front. Really 暴露其弱点.

The 2 big shots, 周润发 & 巩俐, can really see their power and experience through their acting. 周润发 makes a freaking good power-obsessed emperor who is a bit psycho thou the bird initially thot it was 雄霸 of 风云. 巩俐, an empress on the verge of going crazy, frantically embroidering chrysanthemums, 偶尔暴青根 but she reminds me of the Geisha show when her hair is messy and all over the place.

杰王子.. soooo coooool.. Since when his speech is so clear? The clothes looks good, the swordplay is good, jus his acting needs more training. The eyes are either flickering around when its a touching scene, or they look like those of a dead fish.

But still.. 杰王子!!~~

The whole setting, is damn cool. The 声势浩大 场面壮观 scene really whelms me. The thousands of "metalled" and "goldened" soldiers, the millions of chrysanthemums, the courtyard full of 宫女s， 公公s， 打杂的s, etc etc, the fireworks (dat time got fireworks? Looks fake leh.), the cleaning up of the courtyard from the aftermath of a battle with thousands of dead and bloodied body, to removing the bodies, washing away the blood, replanting the pots of chrysanthemums orderly, recarpeting the place. ALL in a short period of time.

Then the colors, either yellow or gold. VERY Very sparkling. Maybe it would be more comfortable to watch it with shades.

All in all, a good show! Other than the vigorous obscene bouncings that is.

I'm 24. 2 mths 25 days into 24 to be specific.

1 day has 24 hrs.

Its freaking not enough. How good would it be if earth takes 48.. or even 72 hours to rotate ard the sun once?

Even so, it still wun be enuff, as there'll be other activities to waste the hours off.

Days are jus but a counting device.

If there's 48 hrs a day.. i could sleep 18 hours!! How good will it be!?!?

But we only have 24 hrs.

How to squeeze so many things in 24 hrs!?!

I'm wearing so many hats somemore.. worker (3 hats here already, 3 different roles), student, daughter, fren, fresh lyricist etc etc.

Everytime i go home, i on my lappy, intending to do something, i get distracted, either by chat boxes popping up wanting me to share some attention to things totally irrelevant to me, or my animes, or some other stuff.

2007.. I've been busy since Day ONE. N its the FREAKING busy kind. Ok Day One is holiday.. 1st working day then.. I haven even have time for my own reporting. 11 days into January, not even started running the report. N still being loaded with other people's jobs. Super overworked, underpaid, NOT appreciated.

28th Feb is my 1st prelim paper, actual exams starts on 9th May. Just busted $2,020 on exam fees alone. I better not fail anymore.

But..

Light really has a fat round face. It somehow gets very prominent in this sequel. Very Very Big Face.

Kenichi the L is still cranky as ever, if not crankier. He's really good! Hahha the stupid octopus-like mask.

Movie-wise.. too long, i was bored for more than half the show. But the way to get L to nab Light aka Kira with his own hands was ingenious. Using Deathnote to overrule Deathnote.

This is not as intensive as the 1st movie, but can still blur/bore those who do not read the comics, watch the anime, understand Jap, too slow to read the subtitles, etc etc.

Overall, less than expectations.

Jealous was pretty cute thou.

Thus, i exited the theatre with very stiff knees.. After 140 minutes.

Went with Birdy after her mugging at SIM. Well, we wasnt hungry. More of a try-it-out kind of impulse.

Good impulse. It was GREAT! $12 for 10 parcels. A bit on the high side, but rather fantastic & value for money.

Ambience-wise, I feel like I'm in some Malaysia kampung the moment I stepped thru the gates. The "restaurant" was jus a rised area with fans n flourescent lights swarmed by flying ants.

Need some exploration spirit to go there since its so freaking out of place/un-noticable.

Due to a last min cancellation by someone, I dashed to Alexander Hospital yesterday for my dental appt with my mum in toll, who pestered to come along when I was fetching my referral letter from home.

Alexander Hospital is freaking big actually, misleading ppl with its solo building seen from the outside. There's actually a myriad of corridors n buildings within.

Well, I cant even remember being pushed/carried along the old corridors 24 yrs ago. Neither can my mum.

The dental centre, I think it sucks. Its full of young punks! I feel like a guinea pig!

N the dentist. ARGH! I tell her exactly where the pain is, what is causing it, etc etc, she continued KNOCKING on the pain part, and the other side. N took 2 xrays when I already had an xray for her.

Feels like trapping me to the bed and extorting my money.

So with the 2 xrays, I found out..

I have NOT ONE BUT TWO LAZY WISDOM TEETH! N the other root canal has minor infection!

Yeah, n nothing were done to them.

N there's a decaying front tooth (there for very long already), which she insisted I must do it now.

I'm like.. I'll fix it after the root canal (molar).
No no, root canal too late already. Must do it NOW!
Yah, fix my NERVES 1st!
No No, u go fix that front tooth 1st!

Har? Right.

Anyway she was meaning, to fix that front tooth ASAP b4 it hits the nerves (of the front tooth) n requires RCT (for the front tooth).

I know I need to fix that front tooth oso, but that dentist over at Clementi ask me to do my nerves 1st mah..

Argue until my nerves popping out.

Then she went on the LENGTHY procedure of explaining the RCT, which I already understood, n she knew I did RCT b4. She's virtually jumping at my nerves at that point of time.

Hai Hai, yes yes, just do it!!

Then she finally began the injection & operation. Oww.
